Day 8 (AM only): Goodbye San Francisco

With our final day upon us, Jen and I had a nourishing breakfast at the coffee shop we'd walked by everyday, Working Girls. Given that the cafe seemed run by men, we could only conclude that this meant the men were in charge of fueling us working girls. I like it.

We then did some final shopping in the nearby area, making an important stop at IT'SUGAR candy store where we laughed over some of the ridiculous products (like gummy bears the size of our heads, koolaid man plushies and more).

With a few more purchases in tow, we headed back to the hotel to pack up. Checked out and loaded with our gear, we headed to the nearby station where we would part ways, Jen off to Davis to visit with a friend (more coming from her on the blog as her adventures are continuing) and me off to the SFO airport. This being our first trip in over 4 years, it felt like an success to me, and I'm excited to see where the winds will take us in another 4 😉

The ride to the airport was uneventful however once the train moved above ground near Glen park there were some beautiful neighbourhoods with the traditional SanFran style colors and build. It felt like a nice wave goodbye from the city. (I was unable to capture photos due to the fast motion and window glare).

Look forward to a few more days of adventures from Jen, and what antics she'll get up to without me!
